Venice than Back to London

Waiting for our bus was a nightmare! We got there like a half hour early and we kept on worrying about when our bus would arrive and not missing it. We were in a way sketchy part of Vienna too. Our bus ended up being an hour late, and we were all really worried. It ended up being ok though. We all sat in the back by smelly stranger Russians. It was another long restless night.

I  woke up on the night buss on the way to Venice only to see this wonderful view out my window!!! It was better before I finally realized that I should grab my camera.

It was sometime early in the morning when the bus stopped at some random gas station. They yelled at us at first in some strange language, then again all they could muster was "Venizia! You get off!" so we were all roused from our unrestful sleep and dropped off in the middle of nowhere. We were able to find a Best Western to figure out the best way to get to the island of Venice! We walked to a train station and headed on our way!

My first view of Venice!
We found a place to drop off our backpacks and I changed into Craig's shorts. It was really hot! Jen and I wanted to hit up the glass factory not realizing that it was on a different Island and we headed towards the main square. Heeje and Fumio took the lead. After Craig informed them that they were going the wrong direction a couple times I finally insisted that Craig actually lead the way. I went picture happy! It was so beautiful! I could not stop taking pictures.

There were so many beautiful random churches!

Heeje:"Pictures aren't allowed in here!"
me: "only if you get caught!"

A random free music museum. These Cellos are older than the United States!

Sneaking pictures in another place where they aren't allowed...

Bridge of Sighs

I got myself a painting!!! So did Craig.
I got myself a beautiful painting! Craig got one from the same artist. I'm really excited about it. I got a picture with the artist's spouse. the Artist herself wasn't there. I asked him about good seafood (the boy's request) and he sent us to this wonderful tiny restaurant. The waiter was hilarious! He was joking around with us. We asked for tap water and he said that he would get it out of the canal, fish and all. Heeje actually ordered three plates and Craig ordered two and ate most of mine! The waiter was quite impressed. We liked him quite a bit and left a good tip. What a guy.

Jen and I wanted to do a bit of shopping and Craig wanted to stay with us. Heeje and Fumio decided to go off on their own so we made a meeting place and time. I ended up buying jewelry (there are some gifts in there too!) and a calendar with hot priests.

Craig felt like an animal.

We arrived at the Rialto Bridge which was our appointed place at the appointed time but there was no Fumio or Heeje in sight. We learned later that they were lost.

This picture prompted Craig to inform me that he doesn't want to have to explain these pictures to his future wife. If he marries someone psycho enough to care about something like old pictures with old friends, all the best of luck to him. All the same, I didn't post this on Facebook nor did I take any pictures with him for the rest of the day. I was very ready to be with loads more people than just this little crowd at Cambridge, I tell you what!

A beautiful church but I wasn't allowed in due to my wearing shorts.

Goodbye Venice!!!
Craig, Jen, and I slowly mozied our way back to the bus station and where our bags were stored from the Rialto. We arrived a little early and all of us were so tuckered out we just decided to chill at the canal and watch the boats go by. Venice is sooo beautiful but I think one day there was more than enough, honestly. We took a bus to the airport and arrived in plenty of time so there was no stress. I found out after I had gone through all my customs that Kirsten needed another glass necklace because her old one was broken! :( I wish I had found out just a bit earlier so I could have gotten her one. I feel bad. Maybe we can find her one online sometime?

We arrived back to London and went back to the hostel that we stayed out the night before we left. We were all so exhausted that we just crashed! Craig managed to secure a car for us, but he had to pick it up the next morning so we took a cab to the hostel. Craig was able to take a free shuttle to the airport to get our car. We went on our way to find church in London! We drove past some major cool stuff! It's almost more fun driving through London rather than just being there. I'm still not a huge fan of London. We went to church and we all looked so ratchet. I thankfully had packed a skirt but no one else was dressed for church and it was a little uncomfortable. We went to the Singles Ward there. There was a girl there who was half Chinese and a natural redhead. She was seriously soooo pretty, I couldn't believe it! I told the boys that half Asians were sometimes redheads and that it didn't look too awkward and I finally had proof! I wish there was a non awkward way I could have gotten her picture.

After that we were on our way to Cambridge! We were on to faze three of our summer!!

Apparently it was gay pride week.
