Saying goodbye Pt. 2

That Friday we went on an excursion to Winchester! On the bus ride back I wanted to sit with Josh but I didn't want to be too aggressive, so I sat by Matt M. I remembered that Josh owed me a back rub so I went by him and made him pay up. It was incredible! I then took a nap on his lap :) The first thing we did was see the round table.

Tom, Haven, Kyle, me, McKenna, Sophie, and Kailey

Kyle, Haven, Kailey and I were wearing matching boots

With Jen

With Caleb.

Jon and I decided that the gates at the back of the keep looked like Mordor gates. We found Spencer and asked for his wedding band and took geeked out pictures. we're cool...

At Jane Austin's house I somehow ended up on Craig's shoulders. That kid is a beast!! He carried me around for a good ten minutes! and we got a lot of stares. it was really funny.

I tried to get Craig to do Kirsten's favorite Cathedral pose, but it looks like he's taking a wiz on the column. oops.

With Josh!

With my room mate, Andee. Awkward arms

I'm too white for flash.

I was talking when this was taken...

At this point, I ran into Haven, Jon, Janeel, Spencer, and Michael. They had actually struck up a conversation with a local PhD student. He told us about how these are some of the oldest paintings in an English Church. He said that they were white washed before, but a few hundred years later they were uncovered.

He showed us the interesting carvings

a man stabbing a dog in the "bum." (Haven said butt but our PhD informed us that it's "bum" in the UK) Haven seemed to know what that implied but I'm still clueless.

He then showed us Jane Austin's grave.

Our PhD student, Haven, and Spencer.

On the way back I again sat with Josh and we took a nap. He came back with me to Becket House where I got ready and we headed off to walk to our formal final dinner. This church was by our little B&B the whole time but I had never gone to it until I did with Josh. It was really cool! We then got a little lost on the way, but we finally found where we were supposed to go.

With Janeel with Cricket going on in the background.

Josh with Dr. Kerry

Josh and I with Dr. Hoffmire

The dinner was really fun. Because a whole much of BYU kids dropped out of coming to Cambridge, spots opened up so now Fumio and Haven are coming. Dr. Kerry came up to me and said that he noticed me sleeping on Josh's shoulder so my faith in the opposite sex must be restored. It made me laugh. We then all said our goodbyes and it was incredibly sad! I am going to really miss the Oxford kids while I'm in Cambridge!!

After dinner, I headed back to Snt. Anthony's to hang out with Josh. We ended up talking all night and decided that we would like to go on some dates this fall if he doesn't end up going to Hong Kong for Fall semester. I'll miss him for the rest of summer!

When I got home I was surprised to find that most of the girls were awake after a crazy fun night of clubbing again. I would have been jealous if I hadn't had such a nice time with Josh :)

From my walk home.
