Prague Part 2

That morning we decided to get these traditional Czech crepe things. They were quite good! We then went on our way up to Prague Castle!

Our hostel was in there somewhere

I learned that Jen is also bad at taking pictures. She cut off the guard which was the reason for our picture. haha, I learned my lesson.

These next few pictures are terrible because I technically wasn't allowed to take any pictures... haha.

Overall the castle was pretty alright. It wasn't anything too spectacular but I'm glad we went.

Where we had dinner. It wasn't spectacular.
We took a walk around town and found a cool opera house. There was an Imax camera there so we know something was going down but no one bothered asking what. I also saw this street artist. He gave me a funny look when i took his picture. Run away! I also bought a print on canvas, some Christmas ornaments, a Bohemian crystal candle stick, and a barrette.

A main square with a statue for Jan Hus.

A Cathedral where they still offer Hussite sacrament. Bryson went the next week and said that they dip the bread in the wine.

Jan Hus

The tower with the famous astrological clock

We went to a chocolate factory :)

While waiting for Bryson, we had a little dance off in the square. Good times!

He came!

Bryson took me to eat this famouse Czech dumpling. It was good. The place was technically closed but Bryson charmed the ladies with his Czech skills to let us in. It was great!

Next he took me to the square where Prague Spring happened

He asked a taxi driver to take our picture. The taxi driver was so confused that Bryson spoke Czech that it took him a second to reply!

This is the old castle. Bryson took me up there for his favorite view.

Then he took me into town for another of his favorite views.

After that, I went with Bryson to the airport to pick up a gal pal of his. We all then went up the hill I was on the night before for another view. It was at a monastery and we had to jump the fence to get in but it was incredible.

The next day, all the boys wanted to go to the old castle so I led the way. We went to the grave yard and inside the church. The church is really beautiful!

This was not posed. Craig took it without my knowing. Apparently I make this face quite a lot... Oh dear.

I guess everyone was a little tuckered out...

We still had nothing to do so we decided to hike up to this random little Alchemist museum. It was a trip, let me tell you! When Craig took my picture below, right after I heard a loud bang and saw movement from the mannequin next to me. I squealed and ran out of there. I thought the noise was made by the hand falling off, but after looking at this picture I've realized that the hand was already on the ground. I still have no idea what made that noise but it's scary! The ladies at the desk heard me freak out and were so confused because nothing is supposed to happen in there. It must be haunted...

Yeah. It's a funny little place.

Prague has a lot of nice cars...
We all met up with Bryson and his friend again and went to the Salvador Dali and Muncha museum. As you can imagine, I died for Dali. I like Mucha too because Art Nouveau is cool too.

With Bryson and his friend. I feel terrible that I can't remember her name, haha.

Muncha.

Bryson then took me and his friend to the old ghetto of Prague. Tons of jews from Czech were killed in WWII.

more nice cars.
Changing of the guard at the castle. I don't know why these are so out of order.

After that, we said our goodbyes and we headed off to the Bus station to take a night bus to Budapest. Budapest ended up being a last minute thing, and it was my idea to do it before Vienna because we had to go through Vienna to get to Venice anyways. We booked a night bus and it was awful. It was seriously hell on wheels. I couldn't sleep the whole time. I hoped we would never do that again... But that wouldn't be our luck...
